....and all was right in our little world

Tonight, my family gathered around the table. Not all of us, but the ones that were there for most of my growing up years. My brother {the Doctor} his wife and kids, my parents {Grandma & Grandpa Hunter}, my little brother {The Bother}, his best friend {Benji}, Cajun Boy and I. Mom made Navajo Tacos, the traditional Hunter Celebratory Feast {We had to celebrate! Benji shot his deer!} and it didn't even get quiet for a minute as we all stuffed our faces.

Here's the thing: I had a family gathering {minus Cajun Man - he was working and a brother and sister} and I had absolutely no anxiety. My nephews took CB and off they went having fun and I didn't have to worry about his every little move. My niece and I made a poster for her Homecoming float and painted our nails the school colors. It felt like home again. The home it was instead of the quiet home it has become without them all here.

A hug from The Bother and Benji and I had no anxiety - that's a major thing since CB was born......and all was right in our little world.

PS......I missed my Big Sister and Big Brother and my other family - Benji's siblings and Mom. I so hope to see you all soon!

I made Navajo Tacos last week and I always think of your family when I make them. I still use your family's recipe. =) It really would be fun to see all of you again. =)
